Tom met Peggy in New York City in 1971. They were married that same year and moved to Rye, NY. In 1974, while working as a SVP Commercial Lending, for Citibank, Tom was transferred to Albany, to run their lending activity in Eastern New York State. They moved back to Westchester in 1977, where they raised four children and still reside. In 1981, Tom was presented with an opportunity to establish a similar commercial lending portfolio for People's Westchester Bank, that would allow him to stay closer to home and be more involved with his children's lives. In 1993, Peoples Westchester Savings Bank was sold, and Tom was offered a job at AG Edwards & Son’s in the White Plains office. There he quickly built up a substantial clientele consisting mostly of friends and business acquaintances. Tom was awarded the Albert Gallatin Award in 1995, which recognizes the outstanding production of a new Financial Consultant. Tom was also honored to the be awarded Chairman Council with AG Edward's from 1996 to 2006.

In 2007, AG Edwards was sold to Wachovia Securities and subsequently taken over by Wells Fargo Advisors. In 2009, Tom was asked to join Tad Edwards, to help start a new private firm named Benjamin F Edwards & Co. He has been and currently is a Managing Director at Benjamin F Edwards & Co.

Tom is especially proud of his commitment to organizations such as Dominican Sisters Family Health Services, where he has served on the Investment and Finance committee since 1986. From 2011 to the present, Tom has also served on the ANDRUS Children's Center board as both Vice-Chairman, the Executive Committee, the Investment Committee and the Finance Committee. He has also served as a board member from 2012 to present with the Clippership Cove in Cape Cod, MA.

He loves his job and the Benjamin F Edwards & Co and has no firm plans to ever retire. Tom enjoys playing the guitar and banjo and trying to play golf.
